OUR GOAL IS TO MAKE A HOLISTIC HEALING COMMUNITY
We are a group of like minded individuals who have been affected by or know someone who has been affected by domestic violence or trafficking. We have all worked in healthcare or community service fields. We have seen the struggles of families and the organizations who are trying to stop domestic violence and help trafficking victims rebuild their lives. Together we have come up with a program that we believe will make a fundamental difference in ending intergenerational domestic violence and give domestic violence and trafficking survivors the tools and support they need to overcome the many struggles they face and help them become successful. We have a vision and are in the beginning process of creating a unique healing community. We do not have a physical location although we do have the land to build it and are working on raising funds and applying for grants to build one, at this time we are working on building our program while giving referrals and offering support and advocacy. The following pages are our vision for our program that we are building and will implement as soon as we have a physical location. Organization Description:
Broken Cycle Ranch is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization with a commitment to serving domestic violence, sex trafficking, and human trafficking victims offering support providing referrals, and advocacy for survivors.
The establishment of Broken Cycle Ranch stems from the urgent need to address and end the pervasive issues of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and human trafficking within our communities. We recognize that domestic violence not only affects its immediate victims but also has far-reaching consequences, perpetuating a cycle of abuse that spans generations. It can include physical, emotional, and sexual abuse. Sex trafficking and human trafficking are the commercial sexual exploitation of individuals through force, fraud, or coercion. There is a strong link between intergenerational domestic violence, sex trafficking, and human trafficking.
Victims of intergenerational domestic violence are more likely to be sex trafficked because they are more vulnerable and less likely to have support from family or friends. They may also be more likely to be trafficked if they have been sexually abused or exploited in the past. Broken Cycle Ranch was founded on the belief that every survivor deserves a chance to break free from this cycle and rebuild their lives.
Domestic violence rates remain alarmingly high in the United States, particularly within Native American communities. Therefore, Broken Cycle Ranch specifically focuses on meeting the needs of these populations. We aim to make sure individual and families receive the comprehensive support services they need empowering them to navigate the path to healing, independence, and long-term success they need through advocacy and referrals.
We strive to provide culturally sensitive and appropriate support, respecting and incorporating their traditions, values, and practices into our programs and services. It is our firm belief that by addressing the specific needs of survivors, we can offer them the best chance at breaking the cycle of abuse and rebuilding their lives in a way that is meaningful and congruent with their cultural identities.
Underserved populations, minorities, lgbtq+,men, including those facing barriers such as poverty, limited access to resources, language barriers, or a lack of awareness about available support services, are also high priorities for Broken Cycle Ranch. We are dedicated to bridging the gap and ensuring that individuals from these communities receive the critical assistance they need to escape abuse, heal from trauma, and acquire the skills and resources necessary for long-term stability.
Through our holistic approach, encompassing the eight ways of wellness. We aim to equip survivors with the tools necessary to reclaim their lives from human/sex trafficking and/or break the intergenerational cycle of domestic violence.
At Broken Cycle Ranch, we are committed to serving and providing advocacy, empowering survivors, fostering a community where violence is not tolerated, and ensuring that every individual, regardless of their background or circumstances, has the opportunity to thrive and live a life free from abuse.
